Who we are

Chef Muñoz is a food brand operated from Taqueria Muñoz at 155 E 170 St, Bronx, NY 10452. Where this policy says “we” or “us,” that is who it means. You can reach us at (917) 792-6630.

What we collect

If you join our launch list, we collect your email address and a note of which page you submitted it from. That is the complete list.

We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number, or payment details, because we currently have nothing to sell you. We do not use analytics software, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking cookies on this site.

How we use it

We use your email address to tell you when a product launches, and to send you related product news. That is expected to be a handful of emails a year, not a newsletter. Every marketing email we send will include a working unsubscribe link and our postal address.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who else handles your information

This website is hosted by Netlify, which stores form submissions on our behalf and, like any web host, keeps standard server logs that include visitor IP addresses. Their privacy practices are published on their own site.

This site currently loads typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser requests those font files directly from Google’s servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We receive nothing from it and have no access to it. We intend to serve these fonts from our own domain so that this transfer stops happening.

If we add a service provider later — for example a payment processor or an email delivery service — we will name it here before it starts handling your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which we remove it from our list within a reasonable period. We do not keep a separate archive of unsubscribed addresses beyond what is needed to make sure we do not email you again.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Call us or reply to any email from us and we will take care of it. We will not ask why, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under state or foreign law. We apply the same practice to everyone regardless of location: we collect as little as possible, we do not sell it, and we delete it on request.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it and relying on established providers to store it. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we do not claim that ours is.

Where we operate

This site is intended for residents of the United States. We do not target, market to, or knowingly offer goods or services to residents of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page as the business changes — most notably when we begin selling products, at which point we will need to collect shipping and payment information handled by our payment processor. When we make changes we will revise the date at the top of this page.

If we make a material change that affects information we have already collected from you, we will notify the people on our list directly rather than quietly editing this page, and we will not apply that change retroactively to your information without telling you first.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York.
