Accessibility statement
Last updated 14 August 2026. We want this site, and our restaurant, to be usable by everyone. If something here gets in your way, we would genuinely like to know.
What we aim for
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. We are not claiming full conformance — we are a small family business and this site is new — but that is the standard we are building against.
What we have done so far
- Descriptive alternative text on every photograph
- A “skip to content” link at the top of each page
- Text and background colors checked for contrast
- Labelled form fields and visible keyboard focus outlines
- Layout that reflows for phones and for enlarged text
- Respect for the reduced-motion setting in your operating system
- No pop-ups, auto-playing media, or moving content
Known limitations
We have not yet had this site audited by an independent accessibility professional, and we have not tested it against every combination of browser and screen reader. We do not use an accessibility overlay widget, because those tools frequently make things worse for the people they claim to help.
Tell us if something is wrong
If you have trouble using any part of this site, or if you need information from it in another format, call us at (917) 792-6630 or come by the restaurant at 155 E 170 St. We will get you what you need and we will fix the underlying problem.
The restaurant
Taqueria Muñoz is at 155 E 170 St in the Bronx, open every day from 8:00am to midnight. If you would like to know about physical access before visiting, please call ahead and we will describe the space honestly.
